Das Kommunikationsmodul COMX 90 ist für die Integration in Feldgeräte konzipiert und stellt die Netzwerkverbindung für Antriebe, Roboter und andere Automatisierungskomponenten bereit. Alle Kommunikationsaufgaben werden autonom im Modul ausgeführt, unabhängig vom Prozessor des Zielgeräts. Prozessdaten werden über eine SPI-Slave-Schnittstelle (Modus 3) ausgetauscht. Die eingebettete Lösung kombiniert Hardware und Firmware, ausgelegt auf die Anforderungen der IEC 62443, zur Erhöhung der Cyber-Security auf Feldebene. Das Modul unterstützt führende Real-Time Ethernet-Protokolle im Slave-Modus und verfügt über zwei Ethernet-Ports für Leitungs-Topologien. Protokollwechsel erfolgen durch Laden der entsprechenden Firmware. Der integrierte Hilscher netX SoC hat eine 10-Jahres-Liefergarantie.
