Overview
PoE Switch KNPB-48. SmartMC (Smart Management Center) provides centralized management for a large number of distributed network edge devices, solving switch-based operation and maintenance tasks for small enterprises and realizing unified operation and network management through embedded equipment and graphical operation.

SmartMC - Four major business segments

• Intelligent management: device role selection, FTP server configuration, global configuration and network management port configuration.
• Intelligent operation and maintenance: group management, device or group upgrade/backup, monitoring and device failure replacement.
• Visualization: network topology visualization and management, device list display.
• Smart business: user management including creation of network access users and one-key port activation for access to SmartMC network.

High performance IPv4/IPv6 service capability
KNPB-48 series implements a hardware-based IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack platform, supports multiple tunneling technologies, rich IPv4 and IPv6 layer-3 routing protocols, multicast technology and policy routing mechanisms to provide a complete IPv4/IPv6 solution.

IRF2 (Second Generation Intelligent Resilient Architecture)
Supports IRF2 to virtualize multiple physical devices into a single logical device for simplified management. Benefits include simplified management (single logical login and configuration), simplified business (protocols run as a single device and cross-device link aggregation replaces STP where applicable), elastic expansion (hot-swap when devices join/leave IRF), high reliability (link/device/protocol level redundancy and automatic master election), and high performance scaling (aggregate performance and port density of member devices).

Complete security control strategy
Supports EAD (End Access Control) to integrate terminal security (antivirus, patching) with network access control, enabling inspection, isolation, repair, management and monitoring of network access terminals for active and centralized defense against threats.

Authentication and policy
Supports centralized MAC address authentication, 802.1x authentication, PORTAL authentication, dynamic/static binding of user identification elements (account, IP, MAC, VLAN, port), dynamic policy distribution (VLAN, QoS, ACL), and real-time online user management integration with management systems for diagnosis and mitigation of illegal network behaviors.

Access control and anti-spoofing
Enhanced ACL logic with super-capacity ingress/egress port ACLs, VLAN-based ACL distribution, and support for unicast reverse path lookup (uRPF) to verify source address authenticity and mitigate source address spoofing.

Multiple reliability protections
Device- and link-level reliability designs include pluggable AC/DC dual power supply module support, power and fan fault detection and alarms, and support for link-level protection protocols and mechanisms (LACP/STP/RSTP/MSTP/Smart Link/RRPP fast ring), IRF2 elastic architecture with 1:N redundancy, ring stacking, and cross-device link aggregation to improve network reliability and convergence behavior under heavy services and traffic.

Rich QoS policies
Supports L2~L4 packet filtering based on source/destination MAC, source/destination IP, TCP/UDP ports, protocol type and VLAN classification. Provides flexible queue scheduling (per-port and per-queue), SP, WRR and SP+WRR modes, CAR (minimum granularity 16Kbps), and inbound/outbound port mirroring for monitoring and troubleshooting.

Excellent management
Supports multiple management interfaces: Console port, out-of-band management port, SNMPv1/v2/v3, compatibility with general NMS platforms, CLI, Web management, TELNET, SSH2.0 encryption. Supports SPAN/RSPAN and multiple mirroring observation ports for flow analysis and network optimization.

Additional features
Support for multicast technologies, policy routing, cross-device link aggregation, and features aimed at simplifying O&M and centralized management for enterprise edge deployments.
