Projection-based SLA System The PSLA 270 architecture combines the best of both worlds: the pixel productivity of projection-based technology and the dynamic, contactless precision of SLA printing. Its dual high-resolution projectors offer unmatched pixel efficiency, far surpassing conventional laser systems. First Print Success and Accuracy With the PSLA 270, there is no contact and no gravity-induced deformation. The result is remarkable precision, consistency, and part quality regardless of geometry, with a fraction of the support structures required by other solutions. New Hardware Architecture Vat Design: The rolling vat is precisely aligned to the frame reference points, simplifying material leveling and material changes. Recoater Design: The dual-rail recoater system improves part quality at higher movement speeds. The precise mounting function enables quick material changes. Clean Interior: The new interior is designed for frequent material changes and is simple in design. Stainless steel covers minimize maintenance and cleaning times. Material Filling: Add material manually or with automatic resin filling for continuous printing without frequent manual intervention. Material Leveling: The shift-leveling system significantly improves leveling performance and reduces overall system complexity. Choose from a growing range of rigid, tough, durable materials with thermoplastic-like behavior, castable, heat-resistant, and biocompatible materials in many colors and varying light transmission. Printed parts exhibit long-term UV and moisture-stable mechanical properties; up to 8 years for indoor use and up to 1.5 years for outdoor use according to ASTM D4329 and ASTM G194. Part Quality PSLA 270 produces exceptional part quality and accuracy, a direct result of proprietary pixel blending methods combined with precision projectors and innovative hardware configuration. All materials, print processes, image processing software, and printer hardware are based on over 15 years of 3D Systems' experience with pixel-based printing, ensuring seamless manufacturing. The image processing software automatically adjusts pixel edges with grayscale methods, resulting in high-quality, production-grade plastic parts with top-class surface quality. New Software Architecture Modern UI: Designed to meet modern expectations and improve productivity. Touch UI: The HD multifunction touchscreen displays information easily and enables faster task completion. User-friendly: The step-by-step workflow guides the operator through the entire printing process, from material change to printer calibration. Remote Monitoring: An HD camera helps the operator start or monitor the printing process remotely, increasing productivity and work flexibility. Flexible Manufacturing PSLA 270 can deliver true production-ready results at batch level, with first-print success and the reliability of vat-based SLA technology. Whether printing large single parts or a platform with large quantities of smaller components, performance and results remain statistically consistent and repeatable across multiple printers. Easy Material Change Material change has never been easier. The PSLA 270 features a mobile cart designed for a variety of material vats, optimized for your application. The vat system is designed so that the lift table, displacer, and recoater are enclosed in the vat with the resin in which they are used. The Material Delivery Module (MDM) is also an integral part of the mobile cart, so nothing needs to be cleaned during a material change. One cart is simply swapped for another, and all necessary components are included. The precise positioning of the vat in the printer frame ensures the smoothest possible material change. Flexible Design The doors and UI can be reversed to place the UI on the right or left side of the machine, achieving the most efficient layout for your space and workflow. The compact frame allows the printer to fit through a standard double door, making delivery and installation easier.
