Since 1949, Billion has produced hydraulic machines and is renowned for its Knowledge and accuracy in hydraulic. Few years ago, Billion started to propose hybrid machines in order to reduce the energy consumption (mainly in the packaging and thin wall sector). Hybrid meant adding electrical screw drive on the injection unit and a converter on hydraulic pump but keeping the hydraulic force on the clamping.

From both of these experiences, Billion started to build a full electric machine called SELECT. The machine is the combination of all in one abilities: accurate, repetitive, reliable, silent, reactive, Footprint saving and foremost ECOLOGICAL.

Born from our hydraulic experience

Electrical machine means choosing the right technology to transform a rotation movement (motors) into a translation. Billion choose 2 technologies. The first One is using balls screw technology for ejection and injection group movements. For clamping and injection movements, where applied forces are even higher, Billion choose the planetary Rollers screw technology with longer lifetime.
